InSight Eyecare is proud of its unique children's vision program called "Just for Kids". We work closely with several school districts to assist with vision screenings each year. Our Just for Kids Ambassadors go to the school and check the child's distance and near vision, color vision, depth perception, and eye muscle control. InSight Eyecare also uses specialized equipment to look for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. We send a letter home to the parents explaining the screening results if a child does not pass the standard minimum requirement for any of the above tests. InSight Eyecare always recommends that parents take their child to the doctor of their choice for a professional eye and vision examination. After the screening, our Just for Kids Ambassadors continue to work with the school nurse to ensure referred children have their eyes tested. If needed, InSight Eyecare works with several local charity groups to provide the highest quality eyecare for families with financial needs.
InSight Eyecare is also a participant and supporter fo the national "See To Learn" program. We provide complimentary vision screenings for all three-year-old children in our office and provide educational tools and programs to local daycare centers.
