Dr. Krystal Matson is originally from Creighton, MO. She graduated from the University of Central Missouri magna cum laude with a degree in biology and minors in chemistry and business administration. Dr. Matson graduated with honors from the University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry in 2020 where she was awarded membership in Beta Sigma Kappa National Honor Society and recognized for excellence in contact lens clinical care. She completed clinical rotations at the Kansas City Veteran's Hospital, Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center, and the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Her special interests include ocular disease, dry eye, and contact lenses.

Dr. Matson is actively involved in legislative advocacy for optometry and is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Association. She has served as a MOA board trustee since 2022. She was awarded the Missouri Young Optometrist of the Year in 2023.

Dr. Matson enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and reading (she's always looking for good book recommendations!).

Dr. Matson practices in the Warrensburg and Concordia offices.
