Dr. Mark Curtis is a native of Warrensburg, MO and graduated from Central Missouri State University with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry before graduating from the University of Missouri-St.Louis College of Optometry.
He performed his clinical rotations at the Kansas City Veterans Hospital, the Kaneohe Marine Air Base in Hawaii and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. His special interests in optometry include ocular disease. He has been an investigator on 100+ ophthalmic studies. Dr. Curtis was named Missouri's Young Optometrist of the Year in 2002. He was named the Missouri Optometrist of the Year in 2009. He is actively involved in the Missouri Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is a past-president of the Warrensburg R-VI school board, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warrensburg and the UMSL School of Optometry Advisers Board. He has served on numerous other local, statewide and national boards.
Dr. Curtis and his wife, Julie, are proud parents of three girls. In his spare time, he can be found in his garage creating the newest addition to his Christmas display.
Dr. Curtis practices in the Warrensburg and Concordia offices. At this time, Dr. Curtis is not accepting new patients or patients he has not actively seen within the last 3 years.
