Optomap Retinal Imaging

Our office utilizes Optomap Ultra-Widefield Retinal Imaging. Optos retinal images allow your doctor to view and show you unparalleled views of the retina! We recommend annual retinal screening photos for all patients. It does not entirely replace the use of dilation drops in eyecare, especially if our doctors are monitoring you for an eye or systemic disease. As a testimony to how important we feel this imaging is, our entire team requests it to be done on their family when they come in for exams because of the things our doctors have caught with this technology!

Zeiss OCT

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technology that allows eye doctors to see detailed cross-sections of the retina--the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. This advanced scan helps us detect early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and more, often before symptoms appear. It's quick, painless, and provides invaluable insight into your eye health, allowing for earlier diagnosis, better monitoring, and more effective treatment planning.

LKC ERG

Electroretinography (ERG) is a cutting-edge diagnostic test that measures how well the retina--the part of your eye that senses light--is functioning. Using gentle light stimuli and sensors, the ERG records the electrical responses of your retina to help detect or monitor conditions. The test is non-invasive, comfortable, and takes only a short time to perform.

Zeiss iProfiler

The Zeiss iProfiler is an advanced diagnostic tool that goes beyond traditional eye exams to measure how your eyes process light. It creates a highly detailed map of the front surface of your cornea (called corneal topography). This allows us to craft customized prescriptions for glasses or contacts. It is also useful in diagnosis or monitoring corneal conditions, like keratoconus.

iCare tonometry

The iCare tonometer allows us to measure your eye pressure quickly, gently, and without the need for the traditional "air puff." This is especially helpful for screening and monitoring glaucoma. The test is comfortable and takes just a few seconds to perform. We utilize a variety of methods to check eye pressure in office, but the majority of patients prefer this one!

Neurolens

Neurolens is a newer technology that addresses eye misalignment—often the root cause of chronic headaches, eye strain, neck pain, motion sickness, and even dizziness. Using precise measurements, we can prescribe custom lenses that gently correct alignment and bring your eyes back into comfortable balance. Many patients experience noticeable relief in just days or weeks of wearing their Neurolens glasses and swear by them! In fact, a lot of our in-office team wears Neurolenses!

Virtual Reality Visual Field

Our Virtual Reality Visual Field testing offers a modern, comfortable way to assess your peripheral vision. This lightweight, headset-based system is portable, efficient, and ideal for patients who find traditional visual field machines uncomfortable or tiring. It helps us monitor conditions like glaucoma, neurological disorders, or vision loss—all in a more relaxed setting. We still sometimes utilize a traditional visual field device in office, but many of our patients have enjoyed the transition to this device!

MDelite IPL

The MDelite IPL device offers a safe, non-invasive treatment for chronic dry eye, especially when caused by inflammation or meibomian gland dysfunction. It is also utilized for the treatment of styes! Using controlled pulses of light, this therapy reduces inflammation, improves tear quality, and restores comfort over time. Treatments are quick, and many patients notice significant improvements in both eye comfort and appearance after just a few sessions.

Firefly Slit Lamp

The Firefly Slit Lamp is a high quality microscope with an attached camera that our doctors mostly utilize in the Ocular Wellness Spa (aka dry eye clinic). It also allows the doctor to show the patient and document findings, like corneal scars, observed during an eye exam.
