Myopia, or nearsightedness, is becoming increasingly common in children, but with the right care, its progression can be effectively managed. Our myopia management program is designed to help protect your child's long-term vision through personalized treatment plans that may include specialized contact lenses, prescription eye drops, or lifestyle recommendations. We take the time to explain each option clearly, so you feel confident in your child's care.

While many people live happy and successful lives with myopia, we are concerned with the amount and rate of progression at a young age! If we identify your child's nearsightedness is beyond the expected amount for their age, we can initiate treatment to slow (and hopefully halt) their prescription progression. This is important because high myopia puts a person at higher risk of eye conditions like retinal detachment, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
